Denver Colorado, Day 3

Hi again Journal! Today I am visiting Denver Colorado. I plan to stay tonight and leave tomorrow, as there are big tornado warnings. While I am here, I want to stop at these places:

A Museum
A Good Restaurant
And MAYBE see a game of sports. But only maybe.

A HUGE model of Mt. Everest on display at the museum.
If I want to get ALL of this done, I better get going right now. First stop- the American Mountaineering Museum. I had a great time! The museum is mostly hands on, and it teaches useful tips about how to spot out different animal tracks and about hiking. It has many intricate displays, and very good teaching. I had an awesome time.

Football!
On to a raging football game! The Denver Broncos against the New England Patriots. I rooted for the Patriots. Though I may be IN Denver, it doesn't mean I MUST do what Denver people do. The game was an exciting new thrill for me.The Patriots won, 9-8. I happily bought a team football and had a few players sign it for me. It will be a wonderful keepsake.

Time for that absolutely perfect dinner. But where to go... I wasn't as hungry as I though I'd be. I had eaten a big plate of nachos at the game, but no dessert.... maybe I would just get something small from a bakery. I asked a few people what the best one in Denver was. Funny thing, they all answered the same thing.... The wooden spoon cafe and bakery.

That perfectly scrumptious cupcake...
I went, expecting nothing much and to walk out nibbling on a hard cookie. Boy, was I wrong! It was a nice bakery with cases upon cases piled high with goodies I had never even seen- even cream puffs and soft flaky biscuits and puddings and cakes and pies and ...... oh. I was just planning on a chocolate chip cookie, but their giant chocolate cupcakes enticed me and ..... I ended up eating one.  It was sooooooo delicious....

Anyway, time to hit the sack before my road trip to Las Vegas, Nevada tomorrow.

Bye Journal.
